More love for Hyde
I have a new ornament, a garden stone that is on my porch (Hyde always loved watching me water plants) and the one that says If love could have saved you, you would live forever, ready to be hung in my room under a picture of him. I have a shadow box I need to make (where his Frisbee will stay) and then I think I’m in good shape.
I got got him cream ages and they made two paw prints, one for me and one for my roommate. I laugh looking at them because there is mud on the prints and hair. He made them his own and that makes me smile so much! I obviously expected to be sad, but I never realized how much he was apart of everything I did. We had a thunderstorm or two and I felt bad that I didn’t get a chance to be with him or give him his thunder jacket because he hated storms. Or I are panera and realized I had no one to share my soup with :)… So silly
but on the one week mark of Hyde’s last day I had a dream that makes me smile and feel fantastic. He had 4 legs…which I wondered about… But there were muddy footprints all over my wall in the bedroom. I woke up and asked him about it… With the biggest smile he spoke back to me and said ‘I’m sorry Ma- it’s just been so much fun, I’ve been having a hell of a time, and on Thursday it rained like crazy… Mud is everywhere- it’s awesome” – both in my dream and in real life all I could do is smile … That’s my guy- letting me know he’s good- he’s with me and he’s happy. 🙂
More pictures when the rest of his memorials are complete!

Darnnit…tears flowing yet again!!
Our hearts ache with you. Yeah, I know one of my “frustrations” with this grief “crap” is I thought the wonderful memories of our time together and my gratitude for that loving, happy time, would help push the suffocating sadness away……andit will…just thought it would be a little faster!!
Oh…and JORDAN, my apologies for calling you Jeremy…no idea where that came from!!
I know you said Hyde probavly has lots of girlfriends now, but I think you will always be his Number One Girl!!
These stones are lovely, just lovely! All of your tributes are so “spot-on” for Hyde. I loved the trading card you did a bit ago too.
But that dream of yours….OMD!!! A POWERFUL message from Hyde!! No doubt!! Clearly thunderstorms don’t bother him at all anymore!! It means more mud puddles to go run through and roll around in! I just LOVE this dream!! You’re so creative, make that into a “memory tribute” somehow!! Can’t wait to see what yo do with that! I bet somewhere in your house or garden, there are the remnants of a muddy foot print waiting for you to discover!!
You tell that Hyde Pod he’d better tell Happy Hannah to stop eatng ice cream long enough to come visit me in a dream!! That’s another “frustration”…I thought for sure she’d be all over my dreams by now!!
Oh yeah, the fact that Hyde left you some little “personal treasures” in is pawprints…soooooo Hyde Pod!! Wonderful keepsakes!
Thank yo again so mich for sharing these wonderful ways you are honoring Hyde! It beings comfort to us all. We love him too! Such a happy boy!!
HUGS!

Jeremy- jordan- I knew what you meant 🙂
One other idea my vet gave me was to plant forget me not flowers in his dog bowls… So I have and I’m waiting for them to grow. Eventually I’ll paint on the outside of his bowl his name and “forget me not”, but I have not gotten that far yet. I love it though and think it’s sweet! I thought you’d appreciate.
That dream was a message for sure! One that I am greatful for! 🙂

Lovely idea with the food bowl and forget-me-nots!!
Thank you sooo much for sharing that!
My Happy Hannah’s avatar picture has her holding her worn out food bowl in her mouth…bringing it to me waiting for me to fill it yet again!
Her “banner” picture has her carrying around a “prettier” one..and bigger too! Those bowls meant to her what Hyde’s frisbee meant to him!
And now I have an exquisite way to “memoralize” what she considered one of the most important items in her life!!:-) 🙂
Thank you again for taking the time to share this “upccoming tribute” to your fine boy! I’ll be looking for your next Hyde Pod Blog!
Sending love and hugs and always the best memories of Hyde’s happy smile!
